The Four Plinth

The Plinth - Ashley and Anthony

I was partnered with Ashley for this brief we had several ideas however we came to an agreement that our water and land idea was the best. We liked the way it used simple graphic design techniques and only type! It promotes its self well as the word water does actually look like water.

Water is 70% of the earths surface area.

Land represents 30%.

Here is our Plinth idea for a graphical representation of this fact. We pointed out that water is responsible for nearly all of the worlds temperature changes, through evaporation of the oceans by the suns rays. A little publicized fact. It is believed that future wars maybe fought over because of the sparse supplies of fresh water. It is the most important element on the planet.

This is the effect achieved.

We liked the result and along with a narative about water and land

its feasible to use this on the plinth. I think we have both been inspired by the effective simplicity of what we have done and believe we will use this device for

future work.
